# Social Notifications

> Never miss a new post — misery announces it for you automatically.

## Supported platforms

misery watches these accounts and posts to a channel of your choosing when something new goes up.

| Platform | Command | Fires when |
| - | - | - |
| **TikTok** | `,tiktok` | A new video is uploaded |
| **Instagram** | `,instagram` | A new post is uploaded |
| **Twitter / X** | `,twitter` | A new tweet is posted |
| **YouTube** | `,youtube` | A new video or Short is uploaded |
| **Pinterest** | `,pinterest` | A new pin is saved |
| **Kick** | `,kick` | A streamer goes live |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Up to **5 accounts per platform** per server. Setting up feeds requires **Manage Server**. Feeds are checked every 10 minutes.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Instagram feeds are a [support server perk](/overview/support-perks).

## Commands

Examples use `,twitter`, but every platform works the same way.

> **Adding a feed**
>
> ```javascript Syntax theme={null}
> ,twitter add (channel) (username)
> ```
>
> ```javascript Example theme={null}
> ,twitter add #notifs playboicarti
> ```
>
> misery checks the account exists before saving it, so a typo gets caught immediately. Adding a feed never announces an old post — only what's posted from then on.

> **Removing a feed**
>
> ```javascript Syntax theme={null}
> ,twitter remove (username)
> ```
>
> ```javascript Example theme={null}
> ,twitter remove playboicarti
> ```

> **Listing your feeds**
>
> `,twitter list` shows every tracked account and the channel it posts to.

> **Clearing everything**
>
> `,twitter reset` removes every feed for that platform in the server.

## Customizing the message

Set text that goes out alongside each notification — usually a role ping.

```javascript Syntax theme={null}
,twitter message (username) (message)
```

```javascript Example theme={null}
,twitter message playboicarti @everyone he posted??
```

| Command | What it does |
| - | - |
| `,twitter message view (username)` | Show the current custom message |
| `,twitter message none (username)` | Remove it |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Available for TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter/X.

## YouTube Shorts

YouTube feeds include Shorts by default. Leave them out when adding the channel:

```javascript theme={null}
,youtube add #notifs mrbeast $noshorts
```

Or switch it later — this toggles:

```javascript Syntax theme={null}
,youtube shorts (youtube channel)
```

```javascript Example theme={null}
,youtube shorts mrbeast
```

## Looking up a profile

Most platform commands double as a profile lookup. Pass a username with no subcommand:

```javascript Example theme={null}
,twitter elonmusk
,instagram nba
,tiktok khaby.lame
,pinterest pinterest
```

Returns follower counts, bio, avatar, and a link to the profile.

> [!NOTE]
>
> `,youtube (query)` searches YouTube instead, and `,kick` on its own is the moderation command.
