# Need To Know

> Things you need to know before using misery.

## Overview

A few important details about using misery. Anyone can add misery to their server with the [invite link](https://web.fluxer.app/oauth2/authorize?client_id=1556696814080495616\&scope=bot\&permissions=15772891517283575) — no application needed. Questions go in the [support server](https://fluxer.gg/XcitBYe4).

## Role position

misery can only act on members and roles **below** its own highest role. Drag misery's role to the top of your role list so antinuke, moderation, and role commands can reach everyone they need to.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Fluxer never lets a bot act on the **server owner** — they can't be banned, moved between voice channels, or punished by misery.

## Blacklisted

Servers found violating Fluxer's rules or misery's [terms](https://misery.app/terms) will be blacklisted, which makes misery leave the server automatically. Individual users can also be blacklisted, which blocks them from using misery in any server.

## Your data

misery only stores what its features need. Read the [privacy policy](https://misery.app/privacy) for exactly what's kept and how to request deletion.
